QUALIFYING SHOWS FOR THE P(UK) SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS:

 

FINALS TO BE HELD AT:

Newark & Notts Showground, Newark, Notts NG24 2NY

12th – 15th August 2009

Open to PUK members and Non Members.

 

1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies/horses in all  Summer National Championships will qualify for the 2009 Ponies (UK) Summer National Championships.

Qualification cards will not be presented in the ring.

 

POLLYANNA HOME PRODUCED CHAMPIONSHIPS

These classes are open to horse & ponies that have been stabled at home since 1st August 2008.

DIY livery is acceptable providing it is not the establishment of a professional Show Producer/Trainer. Horses/ponies entering these championships must be owned, produced, ridden or led by the owner/spouse or his/her son/daughter/grandchild. It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this competition. The directors reserve the right in, their absolute discretion, to refuse an exhibitors entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the Directors considered opinion.

 

1st, 2nd and 3rd placed ponies/horses in all 2009 Summer Pollyanna Home Produced Qualifiers will qualify for the 2009 Ponies (UK) Summer Championships.

Qualification cards will not be presented in the ring.

 

All riders/handlers must apply to become either junior/senior riders club members within 14 days of qualifying in order for the qualification for the Summer Pollyanna Championships to remain valid.

 

 

CHAPS (UK) This show is affiliated to the Coloured Horse and Pony Society (UK). Both owner and the Rider/Exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete, but in order to qualify they must both be Showing Members and the horse/pony must be registered with the society BEFORE this show for the qualification to be valid, Membership cards and Qualification cards must be produced in the ring: the latter being signed by the judge in two places. These classes are also qualifiers for Ponies (UK) Summer Championships. Please refer to your CHAPS Handbook.

 

The CHAPS (UK) Summer Championships will be held on 4th, 5th & 6th September 2009.

Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. Ponies (UK)

Summer Championships will be held on 12th-15th August 2009. The following classes are CHAPS(UK) qualifiers 28, 41 & 42. For full rulings & information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS(UK) Members Handbook or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings.

All stallions entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS(UK). ID cards must be carried in the ring. Foals born within the current year are not eligible to compete in qualifying classes.

 

Irish Draught Horse Society. For Pure & Part Bred Horses. All horses must be registered or identified on the IDHS (GB) or IDSH Registers.

This show is a Qualifier for the BLUE CHIP & IDHS (GB) £2,000 CHALLENGE. The highest placed horse Purebred & the highest placed Sport horse (not already qualified) in class 19  will both qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge, which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 19th & 20th September 2009 at Weston Lawns Equitation Centre, Bulkington, Coventry,

Warwickshire. NB: A horse may only qualify for the final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a rosette & £10 voucher from Blue Chip. IN THE FINAL, the champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, plus a trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100 each.

In addition the highest placed Pure Bred will receive a Trophy & £100 and the highest placed 15.2 & under will receive a trophy & £50.

 

NFU Mutual IRISH DRAUGHT YOUNGSTOCK CHALLENGE (For Pure Bred in-hand Youngstock only). Class 46 is a qualifier for the NFU Mutual I/D Y/S Challenge. The two highest placed PUREBRED from each age group, yearlings & 2yr old Colts, filly or geldings & 3 year old filly or gelding identified on the Grade 1 IDH register (ie: out of a grade 1 Mare (either RID, AID or SID) and by an RID Sire) or, if one or both have already qualified, the horse next in line down to 3rd place only in each age group will qualify for the Final at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 19th & 20th September 2009 at Weston Lawns Equitation Centre, Bulkington, Coventry, Warwickshire. 

In the final, there will be 3 Classes each awarding £150 to the 1st placed Semi-finalist and £100 to the 2nd placed Semi-finalist. The two Semi-finalists from each class going forward to the Championship where the Champion will receive £150, the Reserve Champion will receive £100.
