Class 1                  NOVICE OPEN M & M WORKING HUNTER PONY

For Ponies not to have won more than £20 this year.

Ponies up to 13h may jump first over 2ft jumps.

Jumps 2ft 3in will not exceed 2ft 6in. If sufficient entries class will be split.

 

Class 2                          NOVICE OPEN WORKING HUNTER PONY

Class 3 (A or  B) OPEN COLOURED WORKING HUNTER

Open to all Coloured, Spots, Palominos, Duns and Roans.

(A)Please specify  For ponies not exceeding 153 cms (15h).

                Jumps 2ft 3in will not exceed 2ft 6in. Will jump first. So please be prompt.

(B) Please specify  For horses exceeding 153 cms (15h).

                Jumps 2ft 6in will not exceed 2ft 9in.

 

The Irish Draught Horse Soc (GB) will award Special rosettes to the highest

Placed Pure or Part Bred Irish Draught exhibit in the above 2 classes. All exhibits must be registered or identified with the IDHS (GB) on either their IDHS (GB) or IDSH registers.  Registration / Identification numbers to be stated on the entry form.

You do not need to be a member of CHAPS to enter this class.

 

Class 4                          OPEN WORKING HUNTER

Placed Pure or Part Bred IDH exhibit in the above 2 classes. All exhibits must be registered or identified with the IDHS (GB) on either their Pure Bred or ID Sport Horse registers.  Registration or Identification numbers to be stated on the entry form.

Class 5                  RIDDEN COMPETITION / SPORT/ POT DRESSAGE

                                 HORSE/ PONY CHAMPIONSHIP

Competition Horse/Pony, any colour, any type. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years and over, not exceeding 148cms and exceeding 148cms.  (May be split) Rider any age.

Ponies (UK) Blue Chip Feed Balancer Championship

Method of judging:

Horses/ponies enter the ring individually & will be judged according to Ponies (UK) Performance/Competition class rules: They will be required to: Halt, walk on a long rein,

2-looped trot serpentine, extended trot on the diagonal, 2-looped canter serpentine which must include a change of rein, extended canter on the diagonal.

Show not to exceed 2 minutes.

Phase 1- Performance & Freestyle show               60 marks

Phase 2- Conformation / Type & Suitability for Dressage                   40 marks

Snaffle or Double Bridles only. Blunt spurs may be worn. No change of saddlery will be permitted.

Class 6                  POLICE HORSE/PONY

Open to horse & pony 4 years & over. Any height. Rider any age.

Competitors will be asked to perform tasks that will require your horse/pony to behave in a safe & appropriate manner.

Competitors may enter their number on the board at the collecting ring.

Marks will be given for each task (should you wish to miss tasks out you may do so, but  you will also miss out on the marks). The highest marks at the end of the class 1st to 6th will win the rosettes and prize money to 6th place.
